Autumn, beautiful Autumn

Good Afternoon fellow crafters...

Autumn is in full swing here so I made a fall card using the color changing leaves that are all over the place here as a jumping off point for my card.  I used an image from Tiddly Inks that was made I think meant as a spring image but I changed it to a fall image.

I like having multiple uses for my images...

I created the background on this card using a basket weave effect.  The final look is so cool but easy to create.  You just cut three different sheets of cardstock into strips and weave them together to create this basket weave look.  Using a backing cardstock helps to stabilize the woven strips.  Then cut to the size you need.

Whimsie Doodles Christmas Tree

The Whimsie Doodles November challenge is Tag You're It and I wanted to use a few of their wonderful images to make my entry for this challenge.

Since it is getting so close to oh... dare I say it,  Christmas.  Whow, I can't believe we really are already so close to Christmas.  It seems I was just outside in the summer sun enjoying the warm weather with my family. So for my project I made a Christmas tree ornament using a silhouette tree die cut.

I used the whimsie doodles Christmas gift tag, gift box, hiding elfling,

and candy cane elfling images on this project.  Check out these images and more at www.whimsiedoodles.com.

Hambo Hoedown technique

For the Hambo Hoedown challenge this time we were to use a SplitCoastStampers technique...

The technique I used is coloring with Alcohol Markers..

Here is a link to the technique on SCS  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/alcohol_markers/

Here is my card for this challenge:

I used the newscaster digi because I did not get the snail rake digi.  I missed the last challenge deadline.  I incorporated the last challenge using newspaper and this challenge which is a SCS technique.

Snow, Snow and more Snow...

It has been snowing all day here and it is only October.  I can't tell you how weird it feels to be getting snow this early.

Well in the spirit of the day, I created this winter scene card.

The kids have spent the day out in the snow and I am staying inside nursing my cold.  Boy, is that a winter day for you or what?!

I don't know if you can see it in the photo but I used white applique puffy paint on the hats, ear muffs and buttons.  It was also used to make snow falling in the background.

Take care!

This card was made for the My Creative Time DT call.
