Whimsie Doodles Christmas Tree

The Whimsie Doodles November challenge is Tag You're It and I wanted to use a few of their wonderful images to make my entry for this challenge.

Since it is getting so close to oh... dare I say it,  Christmas.  Whow, I can't believe we really are already so close to Christmas.  It seems I was just outside in the summer sun enjoying the warm weather with my family. So for my project I made a Christmas tree ornament using a silhouette tree die cut.

I used the whimsie doodles Christmas gift tag, gift box, hiding elfling,

and candy cane elfling images on this project.  Check out these images and more at www.whimsiedoodles.com.

Hambo Hoedown technique

For the Hambo Hoedown challenge this time we were to use a SplitCoastStampers technique...

The technique I used is coloring with Alcohol Markers..

Here is a link to the technique on SCS  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/alcohol_markers/

Here is my card for this challenge:

I used the newscaster digi because I did not get the snail rake digi.  I missed the last challenge deadline.  I incorporated the last challenge using newspaper and this challenge which is a SCS technique.

Snow, Snow and more Snow...

It has been snowing all day here and it is only October.  I can't tell you how weird it feels to be getting snow this early.

Well in the spirit of the day, I created this winter scene card.

The kids have spent the day out in the snow and I am staying inside nursing my cold.  Boy, is that a winter day for you or what?!

I don't know if you can see it in the photo but I used white applique puffy paint on the hats, ear muffs and buttons.  It was also used to make snow falling in the background.

Take care!

This card was made for the My Creative Time DT call.

This stamp and sentiment set are from There She Goes Clear Stamps

Bright....

Ok I wanted to show you a card I made using flower soft. Now, I am experimenting here so tell me what you think.

I added flower soft to the shade of the lamp and it gives it so much dimension don't think. I love the saying that goes with this image but think the tag might be to big for the card.

but again I am experimenting... I might trying using the same image with flower soft added but try a different shape card. It is so much fun to just try things out and see how they turn out. There are no mistakes just the fun of creating new things.

The image and sentiment on this card are from Unity.  The image is called "Shine on!"

The flower soft color used is called "Heather".

The tag is colored on the edges with Jim Holtz Distress Ink "pine needles".

The card is made with quickutz scalloped card die.

The circles are made with lifestyle craft circle dies.

The tag was made with EK Success punch.

Purple ribbon on the tag.

Purple rhinestones.

Inkessentials white gel pen.

Keep experimenting!!

Hambo Hoedown Sketch

It has been a while since I have done a Hambo Challenge and it is great to start back with doing a sketch challenge!

Love the simple design of this sketch.  It makes it so much fun to use for my card.  I turned the sketch on its side.
